Today's toilet paper Thursday post is put off. In light of what happened in Texas's favorite Czech community, Joslyn and I both felt it wouldn't be right to post anything silly...
Last night, around 7PM, a fertilizer plant exploded in downtown West, Texas. West is a tiny tourist town located off I35 about half way between Dallas and Austin. My family always stops in West for the food or to take a run through the famous Czech Stop. My mother is half Czech so the town has always been a favorite stop for us on road trips.
The explosion last night has left the town devastated. The community is in need of donations from blood to food to money for supplies. I have linked an article that posted in The Dallas Morning news with information about how you can help. I know that hearts are still heavy from the Boston Marathon bombing earlier this week... It's hard to make sense of so much tragedy in such a short period of time. If nothing else, please pray for the victims and their families. Take care and hug your loved ones close.
